Spread across 22 acres & located on seaside, the magnificent Jagannath Dham, was proposed in 2019 and chief minister Mamata Banerjee, laid the foundation stone of the Jagannath temple on the old Digha beach in the same year. The 65-metre-high temple will have idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra. HIDCO was given the charge of construction and more than 200 craftsmen have worked round the clock. The grand temple will be accessible to the public before the year concludes.
