A Contemporary Five-Star Hospitality Destination in Siliguri
Singalila by Summit is a 1,25,000 sq. ft., 100-key five-star hotel in Siliguri, West Bengal, conceived as a refined hospitality destination shaped by warmth, texture and landscape. The project brings together a strong contemporary identity with an inviting sense of comfort, creating an experience that feels premium without becoming impersonal.
Designed as a prominent urban address, the hotel responds to its context through a carefully composed architectural language. Layered volumes, recessed balconies, vertical fins and warm timber screens give the façade depth and rhythm, while softly illuminated edges enhance its presence after dark. The result is a building that appears elegant and composed during the day and transforms into a distinctive silhouette at night.
Architectural Identity
The exterior is defined by a balance of solidity and openness. Deep balconies create shade and privacy, while vertical elements bring proportion and visual continuity to the façade. Warm-toned screens soften the contemporary massing and introduce a tactile quality that distinguishes the hotel from conventional commercial developments.
The architecture is designed to be experienced from different distances. From the street, it establishes a confident urban presence. At closer range, layered materials, shadows and landscaped edges create a more intimate and welcoming character.
Arrival and Interior Experience
The transition from the city into the hotel is designed as a gradual shift in mood. Guests move from the active urban setting into spaces that feel calm, warm and carefully detailed.
The reception and lounge areas establish the interior language of the project through earthy materials, handcrafted elements, natural greens and soft lighting. Rather than relying on excessive ornamentation, the design creates richness through texture, proportion and atmosphere.
Intimate seating arrangements encourage both social interaction and quiet pause, allowing the arrival spaces to function as more than transitional areas. They become welcoming environments where guests can meet, relax and experience the character of the hotel from the moment they enter.
Social and Event Spaces
Banquet spaces form an important part of the hospitality programme, supporting celebrations, formal gatherings and corporate events. These areas are designed to offer a sophisticated setting while retaining the warmth seen throughout the hotel.
Lighting, material finishes and carefully considered detailing help create adaptable spaces suited to different occasions. The banquet experience is complemented by welcoming pre-function and circulation areas that allow guests to gather comfortably before and between events.
Café and dining spaces extend the hotel’s social character. Designed with a relaxed yet refined ambience, they combine natural finishes, soft illumination and greenery to create inviting environments for dining, conversation and informal meetings.
Wellness and Leisure
The wellness areas are conceived as quieter zones within the hotel, offering guests an opportunity to step away from the energy of travel, work and events. The use of subdued lighting, warm textures and natural elements creates a calm and restorative atmosphere.
These spaces continue the project’s broader design philosophy, where comfort is achieved through sensory experience rather than visual excess. Material tactility, controlled light and carefully composed interiors contribute to a sense of privacy and ease.
Guest Rooms
The guest rooms are designed as peaceful retreats with a contemporary residential character. Earthy tones, soft lighting and tactile materials create a restful environment, while handcrafted details add warmth and individuality.
The rooms balance functionality with comfort, providing a setting suited to both business and leisure travellers. Natural greens and understated finishes strengthen the connection with landscape, while the overall material palette maintains continuity with the public areas of the hotel.
Every element is composed to support a calm, premium stay—from the restrained colour scheme to the layered lighting and carefully detailed furniture.
A Warm Contemporary Hospitality Experience
Singalila by Summit is designed as more than a hotel building. It is a complete hospitality environment where architecture, interiors, lighting and landscape work together to create a consistent experience.
Its identity is contemporary yet warm, urban yet connected to nature, and luxurious without feeling excessive. From its layered façade to its intimate interiors, the project offers a refined destination for accommodation, dining, events, wellness and social interaction.
