The Habitat

Masterplanning

Agartala is the capital as well as the largest city in the State of Tripura. The uniqueness of the city is in its natural beauty. Its parks, Gardens, palace and Undulating city scape. Its green cover and public open spaces encourages public participation in city life and instils a sense of cohesive community. These were the various clues that were taken to design. The Habitat at Agartala. Creating a picturesque setting amidst lush landscape with efficiently designed road system and villa units are the key features of the masterplan. The undulating terrain has been used to the advantage of the design to create a settlement reminiscent of a hill town. Natural water features, flora-fauna and terrain have been preserved for a Green Design keeping regionalism in mind. This will not only create an authentic expression but will also be highly efficient and keep costs under control. Efforts have been made for natural site drainage and collection, harvesting and usage of rain water.
